About WB Govt Jobs
WB Govt Jobs is an independent information portal dedicated to West Bengal government recruitment. Since 2025, the site has tracked job notifications from the four major recruiting boards – WBPSC, WBSSC, WBPRB, and WBHRB – and turned dense official PDFs into clear, structured pages that candidates can actually use.
The site is built and maintained by Vicky Khati, a developer and content researcher based in India. The idea came from a real problem: government job notifications in West Bengal are scattered across half a dozen official websites, each with a different layout, a different update schedule, and a different habit of burying key details inside 20-page PDFs. Candidates miss deadlines. They rely on WhatsApp forwards that are already outdated. They spend hours hunting for basic facts like age limits and application fees.
WB Govt Jobs exists to give that time back. Every recruitment page on this site breaks down the official notification into what candidates actually search for – eligibility by category, age limits with relaxation tables, salary under the 7th Pay Commission, step-by-step application instructions, and selection process breakdowns.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make West Bengal sarkari job information accessible, accurate, and easy to act on. We believe every candidate deserves to know their options without needing to decode government PDFs or trust unofficial sources. We do not editorialize about which jobs are worth pursuing. We present the facts from official sources, flag when information is incomplete, and update pages when boards release corrigenda or schedule changes.
Editorial Standards
Every page on this site is sourced from official government notifications. Here is how the editorial process works:
- Sources: All recruitment data comes directly from official board websites – wbpsc.gov.in, wbssc.org.in, prb.wb.gov.in, and wbhrb.in. We do not republish from third-party aggregators or social media.
- Sourcing process: We download the official notification PDF, extract structured data, and cross-reference it against the board website before publishing.
- Update frequency: Pages are reviewed and updated whenever boards release corrigenda, revised schedules, or new vacancy additions. Major board websites are monitored regularly for new notifications.
- Fact-checking: Eligibility criteria, salary figures, and selection process details are verified against the official notification before being published. Salary figures are calculated under the applicable Pay Commission rules and shown as approximate ranges.
- Transparency on gaps: When information is not yet available (for example, exam dates not yet announced), we say so clearly. We do not fill gaps with guesswork.
- Corrections: We welcome corrections from readers. If you spot an error, email editor@wbgovtjobs.com with the page URL and the correct information. Verified corrections are published within 24 hours.
Meet the Author
Vicky Khati is the editor and owner of WB Govt Jobs. Vicky has spent over five years closely following West Bengal government recruitment – tracking notifications, studying board patterns, and building tools to help candidates stay informed. The site reflects that background: it is built by someone who has read hundreds of WB recruitment notifications and understands what candidates actually need to know.
Vicky’s role is researcher and editor, not a former government employee or exam coach. The site’s value comes from consistent, careful sourcing and a commitment to presenting official information in a format that is genuinely useful for job seekers. Vicky is also the technical builder behind the site, handling everything from content structure to the tools and calculators you find here.
